Airplants, also kown as Tillandsia, is a genus of around 540 species of evergreen, perennial (flowers that stay alive through seasons -opposite annual which is one season ) flowering plant. Native to the forests, mountains and deserts of Central and South America, the southern United States and the West Indies.

This exciting and fun hanging terrarium includes 1 beautiful air plant, sand, moss and sea shells.

The thinner-leafed varieties grow in rainy areas and the thick-leafed varieties in areas more subject to drought. Moisture and nutrients are gathered from the air (dust, decaying leaves and insect matter) through structures on the leaves called Tricomes.

Tillandsia species (also called saprophytes or air plants) normally grow without soil can be attached to other plants, wood, ornaments, bathroom, etc.
